These terms govern your use of Aussie Cyber Check, operated by Squirrelhog Pty Ltd (ABN 83 659 968 439) ("we", "us", "our"). By using the app or this website you agree to these terms.

What Aussie Cyber Check is

Aussie Cyber Check is a free self-assessment tool based on the ASD/ACSC Essential Eight. It asks plain-language questions, produces a score, identifies gaps, and suggests prioritised steps. It is a guide to help you understand and improve your cyber security.

What it is not

Cost

Aussie Cyber Check is free. There is no subscription, no account, and no payment. If this ever changes, we will make that clear before any charge applies.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may update, suspend or discontinue features.

Intellectual property

We own the Aussie Cyber Check software, brand and content. The Essential Eight material it draws on is published by the ASD/ACSC and used under CC BY 4.0. Your assessment answers are yours and stay on your device.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability for any loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on its results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded; where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the service or the cost of doing so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
